Creating an Image Library to help the CDC with Sexual Violence Prevention

The National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS) is an ongoing survey that collects the most current and comprehensive national-and state-level data on intimate partner violence, sexual violence and stalking victimization in the United States.  We recognized a dearth of imagery specific to this topic in several key areas: more realistic emotion, non-binary representation, and inclusion of persons with real disabilities, both non-visible and visible.  Edelman worked with CDC subject matter experts to create a base image library, our client could use across both print and digital media.

Client: CDC (NISVS Division)

Shot of me art directing our real talent. It was critical to the CDC that our talent be real people with the disabilities rather than professional models.
